Rock Jungle employs only the most knowledgable and passionate CrossFit coaches. All of our coaches are continuously learning through attending a minimum of one coaching certification or course each year on top of both holding a minimum of the CrossFit Level 1 Trainer Certificate and the Rock Jungle 200 Hour Assistant Coaching Certificate. Our coaches number one priority is progressing clients in a safe and skill appropriate manner. And you can trust that they will always make you work hard!

DAN ARCHAMBAULT | OWNER/HEAD COACH

Dan is a former Phys Ed teacher that wanted to put his passion for climbing and athletics towards creating a world-class climbing and fitness facility. Dan had always spent time in the weight room but found it somewhat boring and often ineffective. In 2010 Dan began following CrossFit and instantly recognized its value as a training tool for his athletic improvement. Dan sustained a severe climbing injury in 2011 and using CrossFit he was able to stay strong while recovering from this injury and returned to competitive climbing at an almost identical level to when the injury occurred. Dan is one of the most experienced World Cup competition climbers in Canada. Dan has competed for the National Team in countries like Italy, France and Germany placing as high as 9th place in World Cup competitions.When Dan first tried practicing yoga, about 10 years ago, he realized that it was not only an overall beneficial activity both physically and mentally but that it was also very complimentary to rock climbing. Dan became a certified Ashtanga Instructor and has been teaching since 2009 and uses much of this knowledge to help clients achieve greater mobility in their day-to-day lives.

NICOLE DECORE | OWNER/COACH

Nicole started off her fitness lifestyle as a high level competitive Equestrian Show Jumper. After 14 years, Nicole became involved in weight training, running, and yoga. As a gym-rat, Nicole found that her “marathon workouts” began to falter as the monotony and anti-social gym setting became harder to face daily. The motivation returned for Nicole when Dan introduced her to CrossFit and she started seeing real gains in her fitness and strength. Being inspired Nicole chose to become a certified CrossFit trainer in 2011. Nicole feels that for everyone, herself included, motivation and dedication to fitness are advantages of Rock Jungle Fitness’ emphasis on fun, community, and variety through its excellent CrossFit programming.

CHELSEA WILSON | MANAGER, CROSSFIT OPERATIONS/COACH

Chelsea discovered CrossFit through a family member in early 2016 and very quickly began to thrive through the motivational and social connections that CrossFit is known for. She began CrossFit without much of a fitness background and went from not being able to even hang from a bar to teaching others how to do pull-ups in all variations and modifications within a few short years. Since starting at Rock Jungle in 2016, she has become a pivotal member of our community. From running our community events to organizing competitions and everything in between, she is always on the go but it’s rare to see her without a smile on her face. She was hired as our Manager of CrossFit Operations in October 2017, received her CrossFit Level 1 certificate in March 2018 and has completed our 200 hour apprentice training. As a coach, Chelsea is passionate and motivated to help her clients achieve their goals, not only physically, but also mentally and emotionally. She wholeheartedly believes in the transformational experiences that one encounters through CrossFit, from the physical & mental benefits to all of the inspirational moments, no matter how big or small. For Chelsea, CrossFit is not just an amazing workout, but it’s also incredibly beneficial to her mental health and a great opportunity to connect with her clients and to help them perform to the best of their abilities. APPRENTICE COACHES

All of our Assistant Coaches along with being CrossFit Level 1 Trainers, are required to complete 200 hours of apprenticeship under a full coach before attaining their Assistant coaching status. Assistant coaches are graduated to Full Coach when they demonstrate proficiency in coaching all CrossFit movements.
